Mr Sushil K Lamsal joined Nepal’s Foreign Service in 2004.
He holds a Master’s Degree (Honors) in International Relations and International Economics from SAIS, Johns Hopkins University, and a Master’s Degree in Economics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
Mr Lamsal served as Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission in Beijing [2017-2021], Counsellor and Deputy Chief of Mission in Dhaka [2014-2016] and Consul in Hong Kong [2007-2010].
At Headquarters, Mr Lamsal served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs [2016] & [2021-22] and as Director General of the Department of Passports, MOFA [2016-17]. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Commission, Nepal.
Mr Lamsal received the Excellence in Civil Service Award from the Government of Nepal in 2020.
Mr Lamsal took charge as Ambassador of Nepal to the Arab Republic of Egypt on 3 August 2022.
